Is it just me, or does parking a trailer full of Vespolis in front of Newell seem a bit blasphemous?

I went for a run at lunch today. When I came back, this was in the mail:

I mailed it back in this afternoon. And thus, I am more or less officially(I guess I need to hold the race number in my hands and not get injured) running the Boston Marathon for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. It's pretty fitting that I submitted the online entry request exactly three months after Margaret lost her battle with cancer. I wouldn't be running if it wasn't for her, but then again, I wouldn't be doing triathlons if it wasn't for, so she continues to push me, even now.

So if you'd like to support the LAF, and my trip from Hopkinton to Boston on April 20th, go here. If you are feeling particularly generous, all donations of over $100 will recieve these spiffy Team Margs hats. The minimum fundraising goal is $2500. I hope that WE can do better than that. Thank you for reading.

In 2002, I needed a ride to the Head of the Fish. The Passat was almost new at the time. I barely had a clue who the driver was. Now, six and half years and who knows many miles of "how much of a head start do you want?" later, the Passat is decidedly more beat up, but I definitely know who's driving it now.

I'll miss having both of you around, now that Tim doesn't have as much of a reason to come to Boston anymore. But I fully expect him to show up on any given Saturday, and convince me to row an extra three or four miles after I had already rowed ten or twelve, "because its fun". And it will be. And I expect Heather to show up the week before the Charles, and tackle NU eights through the weeks turn. :)

This just had to be posted at some point.

In case you were wondering... The ice is pretty freaking thick.

Apparently, Kenny is really not part spinning bike, part man.

Almost all the Zombies cooperated with this picture. :)

This isn't that bad for being taken with the little point and shoot, over my shoulder, while skiing. Tom wins the good sport award for not using poles at the time the picture was taken. (Out of sympathy for the sculling fool who was not using poles due to the shoulder injury. Which is WAY better now.)

Taken right next to Weeks footbridge. This is getting closer to on topic--at least it's taken by the Charles.

The Breckenridge/Snowmass/Aspen/Denver trip is now online.

More totally gratuitous photo-stitching experiments. You can just about see it from Le Chalet.

Now that's teamwork. Also, that's no one one coming up behind you.

You can see this while you are XC skiing. Or you can be at Weston.

Even the airport view is awesome in Colorado.

I was on the way out of Breck when I saw this on my right. Fortunately there was a parking lot nearby.

Also discovered at the same race, one Shawn Scholl.

Greg raced in an XC race between Snowmass and Aspen. I got a discount on Salomon stuff by taking pictures. Telephoto lenses rule.

Clearly Greg and Marika HATE Breckenridge

If you need me, I'll be working on my juggling and balance. :)

Not content with coaching mere teenagers, Dave decided to expand his to range to pre-K.

I think I've improved my skills in the past 28 days.

New Year (plus a few days), old friends: Pete, Sean and Patron. :)
And in case you were wondering, the shoulder incident occurred before the drinking commenced.

Who knew both Emerson and Rob had twin brothers???

Rocky was playing when Rob walked in. I think he got inspired.

Spent the evening flushing the picture cache to scullingfool. Click the image to go to the pics page.

Finally, some overdue (3,4) and WAAAAAY(1,2) overdue decorations were put up.

More on topic, Kevin made his first 2009 appearance at the boathouse. And started practicing his ninja moves.

It's really totally unfair that the geese still get water to play in. Perhaps we can harness their ability to find open water....

It was cold, the parrots decided they needed to thicken the walls.

In NYC, the birds don't get crumbs--they get bagels.
