Great light on the bridge with the HOCR banners in the foreground.

Chris launching into the sunset. I actually had no plans of rowing at this point, but it looked too nice, so I went and traded the camera for my single.
This photo was definitely not taken today.

Much like fall foliage, the boat density on the Charles is also peaking.
Just me, my boat and the skyline. Oh, and the fire in the sky.

Gevvie, you look great in icing form.

Libby going for extra HVL coaching credit before starting her row with Women's Sweeps.
The craziest thing about sunset was that the sun actually set outside the frame, to the right.

Steve speaking as Aleks' and Sigrid look on at Aleks' retirement party at UBC. Don't worry, he's only retiring from managing UBC.
Many thanks to the redline for stopping long enough for me to take this photo.

All kinds of enlightment for Brendan.
Meanwhile, UBC's Jim Keating and company were going streaking in the powerhouse before 5am.

All the boats. And an airplane, for good measure. Couldn't quite tell if it was Rad or RVL from the shore.
Streaking by moonlight.

Not quite the full team, but still a pretty good night in the harbor. Many thanks to Mike Cataldo for providing and piloting the boat. Congratulations to Gevvie and Gregg, and many thanks to them, and the rest of the team for making the roads to London and Rio so much fun. Oh and yes, that is a lovely necklace, Gevvie.
View from the boat wasn't so bad either.
In both directions.

Apparently, Malcom and the BU130s are planning to open a Fluidesign/Brace oars showroom sometime soon.
Pre-dawn by MIT, with Orion in the sky about halfway between the Pru and the Citgo sign. Fun fact, the sign was not actually on before 5AM.

I would loved to have watched the LTA4+ race live, but unfortunately, I just watched little fake boats on a screen. Hopefully we get to see it eventually. These athletes deserve far more attention than they've gotten from the IPC, TeamUSA and NBC. Congratulations on a well deserved silver medal!
Time for this guy to take center stage!

Just our neighborhood Olympic Gold Medallist, no big deal. Welcome back to Charles, Lauren!
It was also a pretty good morning to do some pieces with our local Silver Medal winning single sculler. (Seen here passing through the middle arch of Weeks. Trust me. Welcome home, Gevvie!
