Party Counter

days left until the Charles Party!

Yeah, ok, that's a bit arrogant, but it's been a pretty good year for RBC, and hopefully, the best is yet to come. So, take this as a tribute to all who have raced in RBC colors this summer, and those racing in red, white and blue in a few weeks. And if you still don't like it... Well, then you'll just have to deal.

Now, Mike did weigh in for the pair first, so we would have still been fine for the dash, but a) this makes for a better story and b) it would have made Tapley really mad, since that would have been the second time he couldn't race due to someone not making weight at the regatta.

Saturday, August 06, 2005

Since Friday was a day off from racing, I decided it was a day off from drawing, as well.
p.s. Oh yeah, and we won the light eight dash, in case anyone was wondering. :)

Friday, July 29, 2005

Oh, if they could send ONLY three boats, instead of four...

Thursday, July 28, 2005

I think I might be a little undertrained for this...

Wednesday, July 27, 2005

Now, if an actual RBC member needs a roommate, fine... But this is really getting ridiculous..

Monday, July 25, 2005

This comic officially concludes my whinning about this topic. If you hear me complain about it in the future, you have my permission to slap me.

Friday, July 22, 2005

Just in case, I'd like to apologize for defacing the flag.

Thursday, July 21, 2005

That however was enough badness for me for the day, and the intermediate single heat went a lot better...

Wednesday, July 20, 2005

p.s. The yin yang from a few days ago still reflects my feelings about trials...Congrats to those who made it, and I am sorry to those who didn't.

Tuesday, July 19, 2005

And if you saw the two guys that drove the trailer to the boathouse from the shop, you'd be very concerned about the quality of any repairs that they may have made to it...But we put our boats on it anyway.

Monday, July 18, 2005

For those who made it today... and those who will make it on Wednesday... I hate to get all Zen on y'all, but the yin-yang really does express my current emotional state with respect to today's results.

Saturday, July 16, 2005

I normally don't do a Saturday comic. But normally, half of my club isn't racing at trials.
p.s. EMP, I apologize for being repetitive.

Friday, July 15, 2005

Yeah, I know, I know, there are trials going on...But really, what else can you say about that besides "Good luck and give them hell"? I guess we'll find out in the few days, won't we? :) In the meanwhile, good luck and give them hell.

Thursday, July 14, 2005

p.s. On a totally unrelated note, NICE work, Ms. Page.

Wednesday, July 13, 2005

And as much tailwind as all of you can handle...

Tuesday, July 12, 2005

I'd like to point out that this sweep rowing thing was actually good for me. It's just funny that I never got to race.

Monday, July 11, 2005

Yes, I do realize that the entry deadline hasn't passed yet. And that there will be more RBC entries. But hey, its my comic. :)

For recent arrivals, the last panel refers to this incident. BRC is Boston Rowing Club, which seems to be the summer rowing destination of choice for most Brookline High boys this summer.

If you find this offensive... Tough. Stage One will hopefully be held in multiple locations...

Wednesday, June 22, 2005

This comic was created simply to include the phrase "physiological disrepair".

Tuesday, June 21, 2005

Last time I stroked an eight was... Well, never.

Monday, June 20, 2005

If you project it over 2200 meters, of course. At least I hope only if you project it.

Friday, June 17, 2005

Luckily, with a little lineup shuffling, we didn't have to practice starts by sevens.

Thursday, June 16, 2005

Though most members of the audience will of course recognize the reference to previously posted "artwork", we didn't want to exclude anyone.
p.s. I wonder if this will negatively impact my boat assignments for summer racing....
p.p.s. John, that's not a suggestion.

Tuesday, June 14, 2005

I just wanted to commemorate this moment, just in case it takes me another seven years to return to stroke seat in a sweep boat.

Monday, June 13, 2005

For new members of the audience, this should explain the last panel.

Thursday, June 09, 2005

I think I am finally starting to appreciate coxswains...

Wednesday, June 08, 2005

I think that had to be the most bizarre thing I've ever seen on the Charles.

Tuesday, June 07, 2005

In case you are confused, MIT unis have T's on them.
p.s. This fabulous piece of artwork is comic #400. Scary, ain't it?

Monday, June 06, 2005

I thought my earlier attempt at a comic was particularly lame. However, should you feel particularly attached to it, you may find it
here
.

Friday, June 03, 2005

Oh, yeah, and there's some ok sculling here, too.
