One more from the Eclipse, composite of pre-eclipse to the peak of the eclipse at midnight.. As you can see from the first photo, cloud coverage was a bit of an issue at first, but thankfully disappeared in time for the main event.

The Lunar Eclipse was cool. Very cool. Like 7F cool.

Zooming out a bit to see all the stars.

BC doesn't always row Empachers, but when they do, they prefer to row them in the basin.

Almost an hour after official sunset, still plenty of color in the clouds above Mass Ave. And, of course traffic crawling across the bridge.

I worked with Paul for years at IBM. He was truly a gentle giant, and I still can't get my head around the fact that he is gone, and especially the truly senseless way in which it happened. I randomly ran into him a few months ago, as he was now working in Kendall Square, we made plans to grab lunch, which, unfortunately, we never did. Rest in peace, "Doctor".

As winter training trips are about to begin, don't forget to thank your boatmen. The guys making sure you can row no matter what. The guys that drive your trailer thousands of miles a year. BU and NU clearly are grateful for theirs, naming their fours after Russ and Rick, respectively.
