It appears that the Friday comic is becoming quite educational (or, at least the last two have been). Oh, and CRASH-Bs are February 26th, if anyone actually cared.

I went to the basin first, in case you were wondering just how badly I had to steer to manage to find six miles betwee RBC and CRI.

Not sure if I like this new format that divides the DVD into Olympic and Non-Olympic events, instead of just Saturday and Sunday finals.

I'd like to thank the entire Charles River Community, USRowing, my fellow club members, (in particular Sean, John, Pete and Tom and me), for continuing to make asses of themselves and keeping this comic going. Also, congratulations to all those who raced this weekend, and especially those who medalled. You know who you are.

@#$%ing CRI! I am all for "community rowing" and all, but if they can't find people competent enough to drive a launch, maybe they should do some fundraising for coach education, instead of new boathouse, eh??? ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH....
Rob appears to be mostly ok(his ankle was hurting), but there was damage to his boat, rigger, and oars...

Clearly, I needed the extra sleep. :)

To his credit, Sean went back to Riverside, changed into dry clothes, and went back out again. Now that's hardcore! Especially since it was cold, windy, and raining.

I think that I lied when I said I was going to stop complaining about the Head of the Connecticut.

I am, of course lying. The temperature will vary two degrees, and the wind will shift from ENE to NE.

Unless I think of some really creative insults, I think I am now officially done complaining about this (the regatta, not the weather). Well, at least from this soapbox.

That was the worst regatta I've ever been to. Ever. Props to Sean, John, Liane, Miranda and anyone else who was smart enough not to attend. More props to Liane and Miranda, as they didn't actually enter the stupid regatta.

The reason I had to leave early was that Margaret broke her collar bone yesterday morning, which really sucks. Grrrrrrrrrrr....

Since ALL of the entries are a bunch of geezers, I guess I'll have to go with the most decorated ones as the favorites. :)

Oh yeah, and weed is banned in-competition, in case anyone was curious.
