Claire at Bouchon Bakery. It might not be very big, but it's still a Thomas Keller establishment!

Later, on New Years Eve, Alex organized a beer tasting.

Using two upside down water glasses as a tripod, Tom, Liane, and four out of the five groomsmen on Christmas Eve. Happy, John? :)

Sunrise wasn't too bad this morning, either.

MIT vs. Harvard. MIT was undefeated. Harvard is Division I. Tech made a good run for it, but ran out of steam in the end. And yes, that ended up being a dunk.

Not quite melted, but at least it was a nice sunset.

Three water bottles later, the battleship for suitable for bring indoors. Sure beats riding the trainer, though!

Also from our archives.. The Wolf doing his thing.

Claire rowing a few weeks ago. The river was looking mighty patchy recently, we might actually get out again!

Friday, December 25, 2009

Juvenile bald eagle at Quabbin Reservoir this afternoon. Wish it was just a little bit sunnier, and I was just a little bit closer, but still my best effort at Quabbin.

And Happy Holidays from me! (With an assist from a trail marker at Great Brook).

The basin says--"Happy Holidays!"

Wednesday, December 23, 2009

Sometime before the river froze. There was a rumor that Pete ran several geese into shore between the finish line and BU bridge. ;)

Obligatory wonderful world of winter shot

Recovered enough from my Saturday evening fever to make it over to Gary's on Sunday.

Despite being in town for less than a day, Dave still got a birthday present from RBC for all his rigging work over the last two years.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

The beasts got a lot of work today. And I am not talking about Pete's quads.

Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Last one on turn out the lights.. Think we won't be on the water for a little while.. :(

Monday, December 14, 2009

Now that Gord has received the hard copy, I can share. :)

Sunday, December 13, 2009

That's not a frame. That's a window.

Sky was looking a bit ominous on Sunday morning. I prolly should have left right then, instead of 12:30, but all's well that ends well.

Saturday, December 12, 2009

Max worked hard on Saturday, as did Eugene's dad, Alex.

So he needed a bit of a nap.

A toast to the birthday boy.

A rousing re-rendition of Ellen and David's "His name was Eugene"/Copacabana/SOSPAHA song, with Eugene and Wenjun joining in.

Sio is crazy versatile. And happy almost birthday!

Yes, that man is doing hand stand. Next time Ed asks you to come to the work party, you better do as he tells you!

And a bonus wildlife shot.

I like this version of winter (from Sunday) much better!!!

Sean taking full advantage of the new work schedule. And enjoying a pretty empty Charles.

Coming to a mailbox near you--the Riverside annual appeal!

Sunday, December 06, 2009

This, generally speaking, is probably not a good long term sign.

If Pete can make fun of us... :)

Saturday, December 05, 2009

The Dark Side of Fitness Committee would like to welcome a new, and long overdue addition. Lib!

You have seen this man on "Pimp My Boathouse." Ed!

I think the new lens and I can be friends.

And the photo shoot with "Gord's Angels" was also highly entertaining.

BU enjoying yesterday's sunshine and flat water.

Wednesday, December 02, 2009

Haven't had one of these in a while. :)

Brutal conditions out there this morning. BRUTAL.

Tuesday, December 01, 2009

Bob was no doubt wondering what those fools at Riverside were up to.

Monday, November 30, 2009

Just another hideous morning on the Charles, move it along, nothing to see here.

Sunday, November 29, 2009

Margaret's P3C found a new owner today(I got to keep the pedals). It's better off being on the road, and I am better off not seeing it every day, but it's still a sad day. I guess ultimately that bike was symbol of what could have been, but never was, so letting it go is part of that whole healing thing. And besides, in a strange coincidence, Margaret's bike is now... Margaret's bike. The new owner turned out to be a namesake. Good luck to you both!

St. Patricks Cathedral can be pretty intimidating sometimes.

One of Lance's more understated bikes from the comeback tour.
