Harvard Heavies in small boats, under Charley's intent gaze.

Letting the clouds run wild over Weeks.

Eric playing a sunset game of stay-away-from-MIT.

Great light on the bridge with the HOCR banners in the foreground.

Chris launching into the sunset. I actually had no plans of rowing at this point, but it looked too nice, so I went and traded the camera for my single.

This photo was definitely not taken today.

Tuesday, September 27, 2016

Much like fall foliage, the boat density on the Charles is also peaking.

Just me, my boat and the skyline. Oh, and the fire in the sky.

Radcliffe taking over the powerhouse. (Thanks, John)

Top deck starting to come together.

Sunday, September 25, 2016

So, after listening to one Olympic medalist on Saturday night, we got to listen to another one, on Sunday.

In case you were wondering which event Gevvie got her medal in.

Gregg and Gevvie doing live commentary on Gevvie's final.

Gevvie, you look great in icing form.

Emer(Alexis' cousin Jeremy's fiancee) poses with Gevvie and her medal.

Dawn at HOK2.

Lauren, and Lauren, and a little bit of bling at the Riverside Stripes Gala.

Aforementioned bling

Lauren with Tom and Liane.

Good turn out for Gala.

Lots of cool stuff was up for grabs.

Libby going for extra HVL coaching credit before starting her row with Women's Sweeps.

The craziest thing about sunset was that the sun actually set outside the frame, to the right.

Thursday, September 22, 2016

Steve speaking as Aleks' and Sigrid look on at Aleks' retirement party at UBC. Don't worry, he's only retiring from managing UBC.

Many thanks to the redline for stopping long enough for me to take this photo.

All kinds of enlightment for Brendan.

Meanwhile, UBC's Jim Keating and company were going streaking in the powerhouse before 5am.

Tuesday, September 20, 2016

All the boats. And an airplane, for good measure. Couldn't quite tell if it was Rad or RVL from the shore.

Streaking by moonlight.

A CBC double cruising by

From the other night, when CBC was on fire

Sunday, September 18, 2016

Solid oar bend from the CBC/Belmont Hill pair.

Letting the clouds run wild over Eliot for about two minutes.

Saturday, September 17, 2016

Hil and Erin cruising on sparkles.

Main street sunrise.

Not quite the full team, but still a pretty good night in the harbor. Many thanks to Mike Cataldo for providing and piloting the boat. Congratulations to Gevvie and Gregg, and many thanks to them, and the rest of the team for making the roads to London and Rio so much fun. Oh and yes, that is a lovely necklace, Gevvie.

View from the boat wasn't so bad either.

In both directions.

HOCR Operations director, dog whisperer, triathlete. He can slice things so many ways.

Skies looked a little ominous last night at CBC

But they really pulled it together by sunset.

Wednesday, September 14, 2016

Apparently, Malcom and the BU130s are planning to open a Fluidesign/Brace oars showroom sometime soon.

Pre-dawn by MIT, with Orion in the sky about halfway between the Pru and the Citgo sign. Fun fact, the sign was not actually on before 5AM.

A CRI 2x waaaay upstream by Newton Yacht Club

Friday nights in the basin are starting to look decidedly more rowing friendly than just a few weeks ago.

Monday, September 12, 2016

Laying tracks in the basin.

Boat inspector ready pounce. Don't mess stuff up.

Sunday, September 11, 2016

I would loved to have watched the LTA4+ race live, but unfortunately, I just watched little fake boats on a screen. Hopefully we get to see it eventually. These athletes deserve far more attention than they've gotten from the IPC, TeamUSA and NBC. Congratulations on a well deserved silver medal!

Time for this guy to take center stage!

Just our neighborhood Olympic Gold Medallist, no big deal. Welcome back to Charles, Lauren!

It was also a pretty good morning to do some pieces with our local Silver Medal winning single sculler. (Seen here passing through the middle arch of Weeks. Trust me. Welcome home, Gevvie!
