A Saturday smorgasbord. Something for everyone!

I think Aleks was overcompensating for the stealth color of his hull

Meanwhile, Skip was showing the machine who's boss

And Nat was going airborne

Didn't see any spiders, but I did spot this curious human-animal hybrid. :)

Bonus scenery shot from the archives

Thursday, February 25, 2010

One more from Maine.. Maybe I'll get some shots of people rowing later today.

Wednesday, February 24, 2010

I heard some spiders have been spotted on the Charles.. This is from late last fall, but a more current image will be obtained asap. Let the rowing begin!

One of these is not like the others.I am not 100% positive, but I am pretty sure about half of Mr. Bach's "competitors" still had 500m to go when he was done. Of course, his time was good enough for third in the open category, not just the junior category that he won. It was however very sporting of CRASH-Bs to let him race after his original erg broke, and good on him for still performing after that.

It is once again time to cede this space to the genius that is Mike Farry.
You may recall his previous work.

Proving that over-eagerness is not just the province of large German men.

Friday, February 19, 2010

Let's try a different approach to that something completely different. Note, apparently this will not be shown in Germany. :)

Bonus scenery shot: view from my window during Tuesday snow storm.

A season competitor, Liane treats CRASH-Bs with the respect the event deserves.

The only RBC medalist on the day--Neil!

Wednesday, February 17, 2010

Sorry, video wasn't supposed to be public yet. Instead, here's Team Estonia.

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

That's a lot of layback there, Nat. Liane, that almost looks like your "erg face". Well played, team.

Monday, February 15, 2010

I'll get to everyone this week, I promise. For now, let's hear for Jeff, who had a valve replacement less that a year ago. Go Jeff!

Agganis Arena, Valentine's Day, 5:01 am. It's been a long day. More to come tomorrow. :)

Saturday, February 13, 2010

Evan, that looks like a fun, relaxing workout.

Friday, February 12, 2010

Bonus wildlife shot! Very bonus, actually.

Dinosaurs are not extinct, they just erg really late at night..

Thursday, February 11, 2010

Last night's "snow storm". Bark was there, bite was fairly minimal.

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

One more shot from the indoor games. Or maybe a few stitched together. Not to worry, I'll reload on indoor rowing photos at CRASH-Bs this weekend. If you are racing, let me know!

Tuesday, February 09, 2010

Wonder what's so amusing in that mirror? Or maybe it's the man behind the mirror? Or, maybe, after 4x3k lots of things are amusing? :)

Monday, February 08, 2010

The other distance star of the evening, Tirunesh Dibaba flew around the track by herself, but fell short of setting the world indoor record in the 5k. No doubt she will go home and cry as she looks at her two gold medals(5K and 10K) from Beijing.

Becky Holliday warms up before the start of the pole vault competition at the Reebok Indoor Games yesterday.

Bernard Lagat taking control of the middle of men's 5K, before briefly relinquishing the lead to Galen Rupp. Lagat set the American record for the indoor 5k, running a fairly ridiculous 13:11.50.

Sometimes, work parties just drive a man to drink.

Bonus scenery shot.

Hillary practicing the next set of ninja moves. Fortunately for Diebold, that didn't involve a haymaker.

Bonus wildlife shot--hanging out in a tree right by RBC's entrance.

I think they named an Aussie band after this.

Wednesday, February 03, 2010

Another fine testing morning. I think almost everyone PR'd, including our very own operations director for some little regatta in October. :)

Sunset in the basin on Sunday. Now, can we please start the melting process pronto?

Tuesday, February 02, 2010

The only thing that comes to mind is--"I'm an lumberjack, and I am ok..."

Monday, February 01, 2010

Well, at least we can still run next to the river.
