days left until the Charles Party!

Good luck, Rob! We somehow went from having two RZs to none in just a few months. :(

All roads lead to the powerhouse. So don't forget to register for the Charles!

Bob and Chris, patrolling the basin.

Powerhouse at dusk

For Joel and the RBC Juniors.

Well, that was worth waking up for. Especially given the current state of the weather.

A terrible night for a row, don't you agree?

Clock tower or giant Russian nesting doll?

Wednesday, July 27, 2011

For all current and former Simmons and Women's Sweep rowers. He really is ray of sunshine!

I mean really, people, what's the big deal about this silly little bridge?

Taken in June.. Hillary's got bigger boats to fry now. :) Good luck to all those going through selection this week, and gearing up for trials next week.

Just sorting through archives. Waterville Valley.

I think Lisa needs something with a bit more yellow and red. And possibly a feisty bird on the stern deck.

View from the roof of the Decordova museum. Not bad.

Randomly woke up at 5:15 to see this out of my hotel window. Promptly went back to sleep for another four hours. Clearly Sio and Mike can control the weather. Bodes well for them, I'd say. :)

Apparently, there's a road bike model, too.

Team car for the Mt. Ascutney Hill Climb.

Our GC contender and top 20 finisher, Pete. I dropped my chain twice, and finished twelve minutes back. Can't win them all. :(

Congratulations, Sio and Mike! Beautiful wedding, great people, great food, great venue.

I think instead of Chuck Norris jokes, rowing should have Tom Bohrer jokes. Just sayin'

Hazy conditions make for pretty sweet sunrises.

MJ and Freddie at the CBC invite. Sweet catches.

On my way to race at Falmouth, I was greeted by this sight on the Bourne Bridge.

Pretty pathetic attempt at "stump the Cam". Mr. Booth, the comment field is yours.

Sometimes, the images speak for themselves.

RBC doin' work.

If I am elected president, I will put a chicken in every arch. No, wait, a sculler in every pot. No, wait, that still doesn't sound right.

Monday, July 18, 2011

Uh oh... There's a gopher (and friends) invasion in the powerhouse.

An infrequently featured, but lovely part of the Boston skyline.

A most excellent trip to Falmouth! And a most original "medal".

Turn clinic courtesy of G. and G. Stone. Aerial coverage provided by the Weeks Footbridge.

It's not quite Venice. But it's not bad.

Saturday, July 16, 2011

Phil and Phil are off to the races.

As are their CBC brethren. Thanks to Bob and Linda for letting me ride along.

Moonrise over Longfellow and State Street.
p.s. CBC invite photos to come tomorrow.

There are other U23s on the Charles, too.

Psychodelic.

Your vice president, ladies and gentlemen.

And your assistant legal adviser.

Yes, our women's sweep team(plus Val) can beat your scullers.

Sunrise over the Black Fly Tri's swim course at Waterville Valley

Powerhouse flyer! A well deserved coxswain toss--the open eights race certainly lived up to the hype

And a Cambridge sunset over the Cromwell course as the launch wranglers head upstream. Can I have another day off please?

Sunday, July 10, 2011

I had a pretty good weekend of racing. Not bad when you have XC skiing Olympian Kris Freeman in your age group.

Meanwhile, in Cambridge, our regatta chairs celebrated another successful regatta.

The beast getting ready for racing this weekend

Not a bad backdrop for fireworks, eh?
