days left until the Charles Party!

On my last night at Columbia St, I misplace my car keys, and thinking that I threw them away, dig through multiple trash bags. I give up, have Stan drive me over to Margaret's where my spare keys are (and where I will be soon), I dig around, can't find them, tell Stan that he can go back, find them three seconds later, call Stan to wait, come home, look on top of a trash bag, find my car keys. Maybe this would be better in flow chart form.

Moving out of Columbia St... Typical day this week consists of:
row, drop of boxes, work, row, pack, drop off more boxes, pack, sleep.

We went all the way to Montana for this???

Sunday, August 26, 2007

Before we go to the post-wedding brunch, Margaret got some sightseeing in.

Saturday, August 25, 2007

While Margaret is off to bridesmaid prep school, I go make friends with the wildlife.

Yes, there was a reason why we were in Montana--congratulations, Matt and Sonja!

Billings: clearly, the good people of Montana don't have any gambling problems whatsoever.

I am definitely feeling the need for a bigger skeg...

Since I can't come up with anything original, and wasted most of my time yesterday on working, upgrading the template for this blog, and setting up the LM8+ blog, you will have to make do with my tabletop artistry. If you are really paying attention, you will realize that the beer that was full is definitely more than half empty.

See, I am not the only dork with a camera! I might be the only one with a camera, blog, website, Van Dusen single and Cervello bike, but definitely not the only one with a camera. And when I say dork, I obviously mean it as a compliment.

Is there anything that Greg can't do???

If you leave the transition area on this bike:

And return to it on this one:

Then something is probably wrong:

(Note the lack of chain/lack of straightness of the rear dérailleur.
Oh Cameron, I feel your pain now more than ever.

Congratulations to Dave and Kelly Schultz! They actually met AT Riverside. See, it's rowing related. Honest. :)

Vanna White..err.. Jeff Forrester at the Riverside World Championship Fundraising raffle.

Want to support the Riverside Lightweight Eight?
Go here. This shameless plug brought to you by the number 8, and the letters R, B, C and U, S, A.
In case you were wondering, this is my blog, and I can make it as corny as I want. But in all seriousness, these guys have to pay $3000 per athlete to represent this country at the World Championships--every little bit will help. Thank you for your support!

And now that the gift has been delivered best wishes and speedy recovery to Mr. Cameron Booth.. Even when you get better, we'll still miss you. But that doesn't mean we won't make tons of Texas jokes at your expense.

First of all, congratulations to Michelle Guerette, who continues to battle all comers (mostly heavyweight and lightweight men) on Charles, and lay smack down on everyone. Good luck at Worlds! Just don't be late. :)
Unfortunately, at trials, there can be only one, and for Rob, Heather, Claire, Marika Gretchen, Brit and Maria, it was a long journey home.. Anyway, worked their asses off, and it's my blog, so I am proud of you guys. Thanks for being there in the sleet in December, on the erg in February, on the ice in March, and in the haze in July. You rock!

\
And finally, for the light eight--guys, you are our last hope... Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeasseeeeee??? Go hard, go fast, and go get some tailwind. Rock it!

Congratulations to:

Liane Malcos, 2-seat US W4x 2007, and a continuous inspiration to everyone back here. (Stock image was used). Coincidentally, this is the bow pair of the 2007 quad.

Hannah Moore, bow, US LW4x

And Pat Godfrey, bow of the US M2+

All are no longer at RBC, but we are still proud of you!

Also congrats to everyone else who qualified today, including Sam Saylor and Jon D'Alba . And good luck to all those still racing.

"Racing won't start until Thursday." 'Nuff said.
