I'd put up the picture of our HEAVYWEIGHT Elite National Champions in the double, but I don't think I've ever actually seen them row a double. All the more impressive, then. And nice work in the light single, Mr. Hashaway.

Also, congratulations to RBC Alums Matt Muffelman, Hannah Moore, Wendy Tripcian (I guess I should use her proper married name :), and Esther Lofgren. And good work to those who raced, even if they came up short.

The Charles got a little angry on Tuesday night. Never seen anything like this here. Ever.

We heckled Will and made him pull hard and race the Charles River Cruise boat (not pictured).

"Must have lost his seat race" or "Must be married to the stroke seat"? You decide. :)

The sweep women may have mentioned that there wasn't enough pictures of them on the blog.. So of course I waited until at least one of them was sculling. Though Rachel and Kit are still rowing a pair, so that counts!

Looks like the collegiate summer rowers have finally arrived.

John tried a standing shove into a wake... Let the record show that he succeeded. It's the seated push that got him... Unfortunately, as you will note, he was Oakley-less when he came up. Both of us went diving for them, to no avail. Since I went diving for them, I feel less guilty for posting this. Happy Friday the 13th!

Sir Velo was ready for racing on Friday

It was sunny, warm, not windy, and relatively uncrowded. Especially if you row at 8am. Cam, this is a fairly pathetic attempt, but who is this not-masked sculler?

New members are now coming in from the water too. Also in this picture--ridiculous amounts of pollen in the Charles.

Apparently, so was I... Not pictured--actual swimming. Probably just as well, since they shortened the swim by about a third due to fog. Results.
