Rest in peace, Margs. Thank you for everything. I only hope that I gave you as much joy and love that you've given me. We didn't get nearly as much time together as we wanted to, but I grateful for every second of it. You will always be in my heart, and in my mind. Your kindness, generosity and bravery will always inspire me. I miss you very, very much, and I will always love you.

Finally put my copious amounts of down time to good use. Should be easier to navigate than the previous purely chronological format.

The really sad thing is that I decided I need to used the flash to take a better picture... And scared the poor little thing so much that it dropped the french fry. :(

No live flowers are allowed in the icu room. So Liza came up with a clever workaround. As I said at her and Jeff's wedding--"She's a doctor, she's much smarter than I am."

Despite what the shirt says, this picture was actually taken almost exactly a year ago, on the third Sunday in October. Seems like it's been a lot longer than that.

Laughing through tears is better than not laughing at all. Hope everyone has a good race!

 

Ran before dawn Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Felt a little more alive afterwards. Also, for those who recall the comic, I've gone back and restored almost all of them. Yes, there's lots of down time in hospital rooms.

I might not be racing, but my boat is (and it still remembers who bought it first). :)

 
One of Margaret's coworkers, John, came down and made fun of the facial hair. Then he asked Margaret for her opinion. She agreed. Said fuzz was gone the next day, but documented for posterity.
