I can't believe Nikolay's gone. Just doesn't seem real. We were just talking on the dock last week about how his grandkids were doing, and how Paul was doing, and what parts of Kiev one should visit if one were to go there. Rower, sculler, coach, and friend to all. You will be dearly missed. Rest in peace.

For the rare photogeek in the audience, check out the EXIF information on this one. Pretty fun way to shoot all the way down the power house stretch with 1120mm..
Meanwhile, Alexis had to work late, so I got the early shift. Nice to see the sun warm up the eastern sky (I was in my car by the time it rose, heading home).

Greg goes sub 18, Gevvie goes sub 18:30, John is 7.4 seconds away from a 16:xx, and Mary went sub 19, no mean feat for a lightweight woman.
