This is where the 400 part of the 100-400 lens is so great. The flippage occurred upstream of Western Ave. I shot it from the downstream side of River St bridge.
This was a two boat heat in the JM1x...the other boat flipped ten strokes in, then about 20 strokes later this poor guy's collar came off and he went in. Meanwhile flipper #1 got back in pretty quickly and upon realizing the other kid had flipped his eyes lit up and he took off for victory and a spot in the finals. Pretty exciting stuff at the Cromwell Cup :)
Hahah wow that is an intense flippage race. Perhaps that should be a new event next year...Start...Flip...Get back in and go...that would be ridiculous
